Welcome to Cardiff Reform Synagogue!

Founded in 1948, Cardiff Reform Synagogue is situated as our name suggests in the capital city of Wales. It is a community which offers something for everyone, the young and not so young.

From Friday night Chavurah dinners to Passover Communal Seders, to Purim Spiels, to Chanukah parties and the traditional Doughnut Game (you have to see it to believe it). Life at Cardiff Reform Synagogue is anything but dull.

If you are in Cardiff on business, on holiday, a student at the university, or just thinking of moving to the area, you are most welcome to join us for services. . On Saturdays there is nearly always a kiddush after the service. Just send an email to admin@CardiffReformSynagogue.UK telling us when you will be visiting and some information about yourself.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Cardiff Reform Synagogue is a member of the Movement for Reform Judaism.

SREBRENICA

On 11 July 1995, Bosnian Serb forces, led by General Ratko Mladić overran and captured the town of Srebrenica in Eastern Bosnia which had been declared a UN Safe Area.

In the days following, more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were systematically murdered and buried in mass graves. Thousands of women, children and the elderly were forcibly deported.

Srebrenica was a culmination of a campaign of ‘ethnic cleansing’ used by Bosnian Serb forces during the conflict.

Just as we remember the Shoah let us also remember the innocent victims of this later genocide.

PRAYER

We pray to almighty God,
May grievance become hope May revenge become justice
May mothers’ tears become prayers
That Srebrenica never happens again To no one, no where.
